Job Summary:

The Central Referrals Scheduling Clerk is responsible for performing all duties necessary to complete all referral requests on a daily basis.  This includes but not limited to interacting with patients and/or referring physicians to schedule patient appointments or to assist with additional requests on behalf of the patients.  The Central Referrals Scheduling Clerk must recognize referred medical conditions so to find the corresponding Physical Therapists and their locations that best fit for referred patients.  This position requires a detail oriented individual to manage, maintain and ensure all patients are scheduled appropriately within an adequate time frame.  This position also includes answering phones, retrieving voicemails and responding to email referral requests.

Required Education, Skills & Abilities:

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer applications and other electronic technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret medical referral requests for appropriate scheduling.
  • Ability to organize workload and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to understand and follow HIPPA regulations.
  • Strong communication skills including proper phone etiquette.
  • Friendly, Positive attitude and a Team player is required.
